Finally, an agreement has been reached between Chelsea and Leicester City for the sale of Wesley Fofana.
After Chelsea’s third offer of roughly £60 million earlier this week was turned down, Leicester City ultimately agreed to Chelsea’s fourth offer for the defender.
A breakthrough has reportedly been struck, according to The Athletic, albeit the transfer amount is yet unknown.
After attempting to push his way out of the King Power Stadium, Fofana was suspended from Leicester City’s first squad for their match against Southampton last weekend and will not be eligible for the match against Chelsea this weekend.
In order to make room for another defender after Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger left on free transfers to Barcelona and Real Madrid, respectively, Fofana is now on his way out of the club before the end of the transfer window.
Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli and Marc Cucurella from Brighton have already joined the Blues.
