Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, has been criticized and dubbed “irritating,” and Gunners fans have been charged of “over-celebrating” their team’s 2-1 victory over Fulham on Saturday.
Aleksandar Mitrovic gave Fulham the lead at the Emirates Stadium, but Martin Odegaard equalized for the visitors before Gabriel netted a late winner.
With the victory, the Gunners maintained their unblemished start to the current Premier League season.
After the game, Arsenal supporters, players, and manager Arteta were joyful, however English sports commentator Richard Keys objected to the Gunners’ celebrations for beating newly promoted Fulham.
Keys said on beIN SPORTS:
“It’s Fulham, and they trailed for one time,”
“They haven’t won the title tonight. They’ve won a London derby. Let’s not get too carried away. We’re four games into the season.
“I can’t hide the fact I find him [Arteta] extremely irritating.
“Waving his arms around like a windmill for 90 minutes, as if anyone can hear him, let alone see him. And he’s never in his technical area.
“They’ve over-celebrated this – it’s a 2-1 win against newly promoted Fulham.”
