Muti talented American singer and songwriter, Trey Songz is requesting the case involving his alleged sexual assault be dismissed due to witness tampering.
Jauhara Jeffries is the victim who alleges Trey Songz violated her while partying with him during New Year’s Eve in 2017. Jeffries claims as she was dancing on a couch at E11VEN nightclub, Trey allegedly slipped his finger into her vagina without her consent.
Well, according to TMZ, recent court documents were filed by Trey’s attorney insisting that there is a witness that can clear his name. The documents also claim that the unnamed witness was approached by Jeffries’ lead attorney Ariel Mitchell, to convince her to try and change her story. Trey’s team is also stating that the witness told them that Mitchell offered her a payout between $100k-$200k, depending on her role in how high she could get Trey to settle.
Chile, the unnamed witness turned down the offer and stated that she was only interested in ensuring that the truth was being told. Trey’s team feel that a dismissal is warranted due to Mitchell involvement in serious misconduct.
