The xenophobic attack on Nigerians continues in South Africa, and Nigerian artistes have started speaking out against it.
South African rapper, AKA showed insensitivity towards the trending massacre of Nigerians in his home country, indirectly showing support to the attacks which have led to criticism by some Nigerian artistes.
During this show of insensitivity by AKA and the angry pour-out by Nigerian artistes, MI Abaga decided to play smart by trying to buy some love back for AKA in the heart of Nigerians, which got a lot of people really infuriated.
MI wrote,
”I can speak honestly in saying my bro AKA loves Nigeria…taken out of context his tweets can be misinterpreted, however he loves and respects Naija.”
Big mistake, I must say as the tweet above infuriated Nigerian rapper, Vector and African Giant, who in turn responded harshly, slaying MI Abaga.
Vector wrote,
“You will not come here and be diplomatic on some dumb shit he said. We know he likes Nigeria enough to come here and play with the people but the same people’s relatives are dying and he can be sarcastic? Sit down.”
And Burna Boy joined in,
“And @MI_Abaga it’s Fuck @akaworldwide from now on. And if you down with him, it’s Fuck you too. I respect you too much, please Don’t throw my respect out the window cuz I swear you will fly out with it.”
